Solved: My dell inspiron will not find any wireless networks

    I have a wireless router and i had to reboot windows and since then i could not get the wireless to work, i am looking for some help to set up the connection again before i reinstalled the OS i was able to connect to my wireless router. I put this in the command center

    ipconfig/all

    this is what i got

    host name :Zachary-lap
    Primary Dns suffix:
    node type: hybrid
    IP routing enabled: No
    WINS Proxy enabled: No

    please can someone help me i read on a previous thread that Jedi-master helped out someone else with close to the same probem can you do the same for me?

    Is the wireless turned on?. pressing FN and F2 on some dells turns wireless on

    thank you but i have already tried all that....i am waiting for another user to help me out he helped out someone else with a similar problem

    i have tried that and nothing will even come up notifying that the wireless reciever is on nor off

    Let's see this.

    Click Start

    In the search bar type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter

    Click the + next to the pane Network Adapters so it expands, showing all installed hardware.

    Take a screenshot of this window and attach the file in your next post.

    To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file. To upload it to the forum, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here.

    this is what i have, i cant post a screenshot bc it is on my laptop and i am on my desktop...but it is a dell inspiron 1545

    when i did what you told me this is what i came up with

    +portable devices
    +processors

    this is all i have in the list on the device manager screen there was nothing to the words network adapters >.<

    nm i got it figured out!! i was so stupid haha i didnt have the driver installed on it after i rebooted the OS
