I get a Newsletter from so and so with XP tips. This one is about making a shortcut look like the old Windows Explorer opening with My Computer view intead of My Documents view.

I want to have the shortcut show a particular folder opened in the view (left) pane so I can click on that merchant to open their folder in the work (right) pane. for some reason, adding R:\yada\soandso\merchants\active_merchants only drills down to R:\yada\soandso\merchants.

This view is helpful in knowing where I am in the file instead of reading the address line.

Am I missing a switch or something?

    Drop The Select Switch

    C:\Windows\Explorer.exe /n, /e, R:\yada\soandso\merchants\active_merchants

    I knew that... sorta :)

I've been here a while, but I'm not as 'regular' as I once was.
