Since you didn't provide a full description of your DX4450, I'm going to assume it's an Epson Stylus DX4450 printer. Is that correct?

Are you using Windows 7(32-bit) or Windows 7(64-bit)?

Go to the "Drivers & Support" section, then select "Windows 7 64-bit" for the operating system, then select "Online Support & Manuals". Hopefully, one of the links will resolve your problem.

If you haven't installed the driver for it yet, select "Drivers & Software", then click "Driver" to download and install the driver.

tried looking through there couldn't find anything. tried getting their driver but doesn't work.

ok tried re-doing it from disc i have. this is what happens.

1. connect cable
2. (after cable is in) product recognised, and at bottom flashes up driver installed successfully.
3. after short time comes up product not recognised.

what is going on?

Jake:

I don't know what else to tell you without being there and having a "hands on" with your computer and printer.

I've used nothing but HP Deskjet and HP Photosmart printers for over 13 years, so I'm not personally familiar with Epson and other brands.

Hi thanks for the help.

i went back and tried the driver off that site again. oddly enough i kept pressing setup and going through the install over and over and for some reason it worked after a while. i don't get why but as long as it does i don't care.

again thanks for the help
