I have recently discovered that my taskbar tabs for any open or running programs don't appear next to my quick launch menu when I minimize them. All attempts to restore them have failed. Tech support for my computer hasn't even heard of this problem. Other taskbar items such as the quick launch menu and the clock, etc., are still there. My system is running on Windows XP SP2. Everything else seems to run fine.

Scroll down to Line 240 on this site http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and click on the link to download and run the vbs fix for this problem.

To use the VBS Files: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double
click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done.

NOTE: If your anti-virus software warns you of a "malicious" script, this is normal if you have "Script Safe" or similar technology enabled. These scripts are not malicious, but they do make changes to the System Registry.
