OK ladies and gentlemen, need some advice. My HP F380 has bit the dust, best all-in-one I have ever owned and had it for 8 years. I would like something like it as I need to be able to use the scanner and copier on occasion. I liked the fact I only had two cartridges to replace, one black, and one color. I do not need a photo type which requires four separate cartridges.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Capt

I use an epson 835 as a network printer connected via router to my network. It scans, does faxes, copies, and prints. It does use multiple cartridges however they are relatively cheap to replace; all five were $50 at the egg. The epson is used on a mixed network with win7, win8, and linux machines.

The HP Deskjet 2512 All-In-One sells for about $50.00 at "Walmart" and is what I replaced my HP Deskjet F340 All-In-One with - which still works and was donated.

It uses 2 ink cartridges: black and tri-color

The paper feeds from the back instead of from the front, so I don't know if that would be a turn-off for you.
