I read a photography forum every day and I've started getting ads such as "your computer is about to crash - download now!' and others. Some sit at the bottom of my monitor with borders flashing and won't go away even if I leave the website and return to it. There's a plethora of 'ad-blockers' available. Some made no difference and one in particular waited for all downloads to be complete before giving me a price.
Anyone got recommendations for a good free Blocker from experience?
    Mike.

AdBlock Plus has always worked for me on FireFox. Some ads you would have to manually block but for the most part it does a good job.

Search for AdBlock in the Addons section

Thanks James. I'll try that. Might have to get advice on that manual blocking thing - we'll see.
