I use windows XP on a PC. I have a Net Gear Dual Band Router N600 WNDR3400. It has been working fine for over a year. On the top it had a large BLUE BUTTON (WPS) to connect other wireless devices. The trouble started yesterday when the blue button started flashing. I have checked with NETGEAR's support group and they think someone may be trying to access my network and I need to DISABLE THE ROUTER"S PIN. I have done that and the light is still flashing. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks Wally.

Hello Etaf. I went to the site and could not download any thing from it. I turned off fire wall and AntiVirus and could not download. It turns out I have V1 of this Router and I could not download that either. If I use my CD to get the documentation on line it works find, but I could find nothing about turning off the WPS, except to disable the routers pin which I have done.

Yes I can get on line fine and download PDF files all the time. My default security is WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA2- PSK ( AES)

that has not yet been broken, unless you are using a simple dictionary word as a password, or told people the password , who have passed it on - if not , then I doubt anyone has broken into your network

not sure what else to suggest now

Well I had this screen up earlier and of course most posts show up... but just to confirm the PIN is the WPS function. In fact WPS does have a big security flaw so that's a good thing you turned it off. If it still flashes, perhaps a power off/on would help?

Other than that you should be fine :)
