Can anyone help decipher this windows system event and suggest possible causes? I'm connecting from a basic residential ASDL line with the LAN set to 192.168.0.0 so how have these two IP addresses appeard? Called up my ISP and they had no clue!!

Should I put on my tin foil hat and hide under the kitchen table? :)

The name "WORKGROUP :1d" could not be registered on the interface with IP address 25.198.xxx.xxx. The computer with the IP address 25.198.xxx.xxx did not allow the name to be claimed by this computer.

Nothing to worry about. Turns out Logmein's VPN service Hamachi is now using the 25.0.0.0 range which if you did an IP lookup on RIPE reports it's owned by the Ministry of Defence.
