    I HAVE A NETGEAR wirerless adapter..with no router..i use a access point..i was on the internet yesterday and all of a sudden it quit...i looked and saw my IP Address to the adapter was missing...it constantly says it can not connect cause it cant connect to the wireless network...i go into the "about" part of the adapter and see my all is there except the IP Address....all numbers are shown...i type in "run" cmd...and then ipconfig...and it says my media is disconnected....how do i get the IP address again...i have uninstalled it did the drives again and everything...i put the disk in and it does what its supposed to do...but it wont give me an IP address.....HELP...I will be back on tomorrow..im in the library and its about to close....its a NETGEAR RANGEMASTER......I WILL GET THE DETAILS ABOUT IT IF U NEED IT...

    If you mean that you have your own wireless access point disable encryption on it and try to connect. If successful you can probably re-enable encryption and reconnect. If you mean something else by "i use a access point" please explain.

    What is the model of the Netgear adapter?
