K325 is the model of the AMD processor in your Lenovo laptop.

What is the model name and model/series number of your Lenovo laptop?

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Information.

Click on "System Summary" to highlight it.

Submit a screenshot image of what's listed in the right pane.

The system model in your screenshot shows INVALID.

We need a complete description of that Lenovo laptop.

Most of them are "IdeaPad" or "ThinkPad" models, but there are several other models.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

What Windows version originally came in it?

Has Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit been activated since you installed it?

Double-click the Network Controller and Unknown device entries in the Device Manager to open their properties window.

Select the "Details" tab and then select "Hardware Ids" from the list.

Submit screenshot images of those windows so we can see what the vendor and device codes are.

    I suggest you go here:

    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/find-product-name

and look at the instructions and images so you can get that laptop/netbook properly identified.

I guessed earlier that it's a Lenovo IdeaPad U165 laptop, but we needed to confirm that.

It appears to have an Atheros ethernet device and an Atheros or Broadcom wireless device.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U165 laptop supports up to 8 GB(8192 MB) of RAM.

Yours appears to have only 2 GB(2048 MB) of RAM.

If you plan to run Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit in it, you really need to add another 2 GB(2048 MB) of RAM.

If you don't, it's probably going to run like a turtle.

Your screenshot in post #11 with the vendor and device codes are for a Dell Wireless 1501/1503/1701 Half Mini-Card wireless device.

That wireless device comes in a Dell laptop and not in a Lenovo laptop, so I'm really confused now.

I've requested someone else to jump in.

I'm going off-line until tomorrow morning, so I'll check back here then.

I don't see a reply from you this morning and notice that you marked your network controller issue as solved.

Did you resolve the issue or do you no longer want any help from us?
