Solved: Networking with a Parallel File Transfer Cable?

What can parallel file transfer cables be used for? Now I know they can be used for transfering data between two computers. Can I network two computers together using this cable so that I can share a printer? I want to use My Network Places to share things between two computers using this cable. Now can I do that?

I think it's supposed to work, but it would be pretty slow I would imagine. Why not juse use Ethernet?
