Hey guys, im a little behind of the Flavour of the month parts so i could do with some advice, my 775 G31 mobo died the other day and i was looking to replace it, but apart from micro atx form factors very little exist like this now, i have been informed that DDR3 is now cheaper to obtain than the 4GB ddr2 i already own. my cpu is a little outdated now, the Intel Q6600, still a great piece of kit, but i was wondering wether i should take this chance to upgrade my system a bit, my budget is around £250-300 max i think, for the moment, i have a 650w thermal take psu, decent Antec 900 case, all peripherals obviously, i just need to replace my core parts and have a mobo that will accept my GTX 260 gfx card (i know its a bit out dated i plan to upgrade when i have funds, but it still runs black ops on max details perfectly) but yeah, if you guys can help me out i would be very appreciative

here is a website i trust for components - www.overclockers.co.uk

So yeah, need new Ram, cpu and motherboard that the rest of my hardware will integrate with correctly, full details of my setup on profile :)

cheers in advance - jamie

im not a big expert but considering ur price range ill give you some suggestions what i would get with that money :)

CPU - i5 2.80Ghz (Link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-339-IN)

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 microATX Motherboard (Link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-233-GI) isnt the best board but will get the job done.

RAM - OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel (Link: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-288-CS)

these are my recommendations i had different RAM until i fully check the motherboard specs and checked it cant handle 1600Mhz i believe
