picked up the parts for my new pc today.
    -amd athlon 64 FX57 processor
    -asus A8N SLi Premium m/b
    -2 GB DDR 400 RAM (PC3200)
    - enermax SLi ready 600w Noisetaker pwr supply
-msi NX6600LE NVidia GeForce 256 MD DDR/TVO/DVI/PCIe graphics.

I am a wee bit concerned about the graphics card and am looking for those with experience with these cards. I had looked at the 6800 and the 7800 versions but the guy at the store said the extra cost was a waste. Other than this item, I believe my parts are or are almost the top available and I do not want to loose performance on gaming because of the graphics card.

Any personal experiences with these cards or suggestions would be welcome.

    D.

If you are doing gaming, never use a card that ends with LE. They have some of the pipelines shut down.

Although you can use something like this to unlock the pipelines . . turns it into a pretty nice card for the €

Not knowing the return policy or your budget, if you are going to keep the vid card, install the newest drivers and see if it will play the games to your satisfaction. If not, try the tweak,

The 7800/6800s are at least twice as powerful if not more than a 6600 friggin LE. If you can afford an FX-57 then you can afford a better videocard too.
