Hello, I have just bought an 8GB Sansa mp3 player. I have fully charged it but the device is not showing up anywhere on my computer or in media player. The radio is functioning ok. How do i get the mp3 part working?

    Thanks guys,
    Shane

Go to Settings on the player and change the USB mode to MSC mode.

Then plug the player into your PC and it should show up as the next available drive letter.

You can then use Windows Explorer to copy mp3 files from your PC to the player.

Does it show up under My Computer?

There should be C: for the hard drive, maybe D: and E: for CD/DVD drives, does it show up as F: or some other letter?

Hi, i have worked through all the procedures above but my device still wont connect. Is the USB cable supplied with the Clip a special one. The reason i ask is becasue it was too small to reach from my pc USB locationsand give me enough room to play it. I changed it to a different general USB lead?

Yes, use the cable that came with the player.

Also, if you have a Desktop PC, try and use a USB port on the back of the PC.
