Solved: No dvd's

    My granddaughters new laptop as no windows7 dvd is there any way we can write one just incase we need to reinstall windows, thanks.

    If the laptop came with Windows 7 installed, it probably has a recovery partition which can be used to reinstall to the original state of the laptop. It may also have a program that allows you to burn this recovery partition to one or more DVDs (for example my Toshiba Satalite came with Toshiba recovery disk creator, which made a nice little reinstall Disk. This has the advantage over a Normal Windows disk of including all the required drivers and the preinstalled programs. It has the disadvantage that it can only be run in that exact model of computer.

    Thanks to you both, i have just discovered the software to write a dvd, I have not been on w7 before so behaved a bit thick, thanks.(y)
