I figured I'd come here since I'm already a dolt on this site.

I uninstalled Glary Utilities with Revo Uninstaller...

I think in registry I clicked on glary and glarysoft

deleted 11 files in glary backup, they are in the recycle bin in a folder called backup.

    restart...

windows doesn't load after password entry... Circle moves around forever.

restart in safe mode. Windows loads fine.

Did I mess up as bad as I think???

Revo may have deleted registry keys I didn't want it to?

Will restoring the backups help? I see them in rb.

    Thank you very much.

Thanks for incredibly hasty reply! ...

I checked out that link and the others...

I'm not liking vista right now...

Anyway my computer ran for a while in safe mode, I fiddled...
Did not restore glary backup folder.

    Kaspersky quick scan for fun.
    Clicked restart.

Blah blah 1 minute later: enter password.

    Everything disappears but spinning circle....

    Starts up normally! Awesome.

Wish I knew what happened. pc usually starts superfast.

I guess maybe it just felt like taking forever that 1 time?

9 new windows security updates a couple restarts ago. Maybe they're slowing me down.

    #$?&!!!!!
