For some reasen, I'm getting a "Sound Event" when ever I open, close, minimize or move my mouse over a button or link.

This is happening on my Desktop and not just on a web page.

I really want to get rid of the sound. It's starting to drive me a little "Batty"!

    Thanks for any help.

Try going to Sounds in your Control Panel and looking under the Events list. Just set the sound option for whichever events are giving you sounds that you wish wouldn't.

    good luck

Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel> Sounds icon.
Go down the list and select NONE for the events that you do not wish to hear any sound on.

:D Hope this helps ya :D

That's like if your cars making a rattling noise, you turn up the radio.
SOMEHOW you sound card's getting the information from your mouse. It might be a bad sound card, bad sound card driver--i don't think the problem would be from the mouse. And i can't think of how a Window theme would convert pointer position to sound
