(Solved) Norton Security Alerts

    Hello to all.....can anyone please tell me if I can turn off the intrusion alerts Its seems Im being bombarded the last two days or suggest some other course of action ? Thanks in advance

    If you go into Personal firewall\custom setting you will find two switches.
    1) Enable Access Control Alerts
    2) Alert when unused Ports are Accessed

    See attached Pic......

    Access control Alerts pertain to onboard applications wanting access to the Internet and Unused Ports pertain to outside intruders scanning for access.
    You may want to read through the scanty explainations provided in the help section under "personal custom settings".

    Glad all is well now. You may want to consider turning the alert switch back on in a day or so to see if the scourge is over.
