Hi,
My computer which is using XP windows shuts down after only a minute or so. I have tried several things including typing shutdown-a into the Run area. This does not abort the shutdown.
The tab comes up and says NT Authority\System- windows will close in 60 seconds etc.
I have also gone into the RPC area and tried to stop it shutting down by clicking properties howver this does not work also.
This happened when I uninstalled a Trial version of AVG from my system. I use the free version on another computer and have found it very good and thought that is what I had put into this computer also.
The windows explorer bar on the bottom has disappeared altogether.
The computer will not run long enough without shutting down to allow me to load anti virus or spyware so that the problem whatever it might be can be stopped.
I would very much appreciate some help and advice as to the problem and the appropriate cure.
Thanks pgc
