    Hello guys,

I've just installed Vista on my Computer and i need to install the drivers, so i tried to install my graffics card drivers ( NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT GPU ) which i downloaded from the nvidia website.

I'm sure i downloader the correct driver but every time i try to install the drivers i get the following error.
"The nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers compatible with your hardware. The setup will now exit".

I tried to disable on board graphics but i believe my motherboard does not support intergated graphics because i couldn't find anything in the BIOS menu.

    Any help??

    Thanks.

This should be the correct NVIDIA driver for Vista:

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7-winvista-257.21-whql-driver.html

The 8400M GT is among the list of supported products.

If that's a known factory brand computer, can you advise what the brand name, model name, and model number of it is?

I'm guessing your computer is a laptop.

The generic NVidia drivers do not support all mobile/laptop GPU's, in such cases you need to go to the laptop manufacturer's site and get the drivers from them. The 8400M GT is supported in general in the above posted Notebook driver by Flavellee but the specific vendor may not be supported by their choice so it may or may not work.
