    I already posted a few days ago and got some great help and set me in the right direction, i opted to try and see if i could balance out what i want and what i need , with how much money i'm comfortable spending.

    I realised my current monitor only supports up to 1600x1200 resolution, and has no hdmi inputs or anything, si i decided i will also get a new monitor, since 1900 is a better resolution to play games at!

    I also went shopping for a gaming mouse, and still need a keyboard but haven't settled on one yet.

    I went with the amd965 simply because i can't reallya fford to spend any more than i've laid out,a s a matter of fact its already over budget, after taxes, but nearly 200 dollars. but i do think its a system i could be excited about, but i need opinions, and if its bad let me know! i dont take it personal, i still have approximately 5 days until the purchase go's thru as well, so time to think.

    Anyways here it is;

    That is all from the website www.ncix.com , and does not include the 5% tax i would be charged. so the grand total would be approximately 1550.

    For what i'm getting i think it's a decent deal, but not sure. i have also not done price matching yet.

    Its fine, nothing wrong with it as it is.

    But are you aware the NCIX does price matching?

    That same CPU is $189 @ TigerDirect: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicati...?EdpNo=5692033&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs
    Check all your parts against www.newegg.ca, www.tigedirect.ca, www.bestdirect.ca, www.directcanada.com, http://www.bewawa.com/

    Also you may want to consider the newer Phenom II X6 processors, 6 cores versus 4 and Turbo mode to automatically overclock the cores as needed: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103851 Should be on par or better then the 965 in most things and should improve with newer games that are more multi-threaded.

    You can also step up to the new AMD 800 series chipset, the 880 and 870 do not support Crossfire like the 790, but the 890's do if you did want CrossFire Support - only if you device to buy another HD 5850.
    Example: http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=52677&vpn=M4A87TD/USB3&manufacture=ASUS
    Or: http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=52049&vpn=GA-870A-UD3&manufacture=Gigabyte
    The board you choose is nice in the fact that it too has USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0 support.
