We have a OKI B6500 where somebody managed to lock the control panel, but now the configuration needs to be changed. A

At this point, pressing any button on the panel, causes the display to say 'Panel Locked'

We have a ticket open with OKI, who can't even help us -- They claim that only fix is to repair it across the network -- there is no NIC on this printer, and a NIC would cost >$300 (US).

There must be some key combination to unlock the panel. It may involve powering up with certain buttons depressed.

It's probably a fairly simple fix via the http interface, but having no NIC presents a problem in that direction.

Maybe search for other, similar OKi models. They probably use a similar key combination.

A co-worker found the service manual online somewhere. Pressing the left arrow and cancel buttons simultaneously while powering on the printer allowed us to get to the lock/unlock menu

    Thanks!

    I am marking this closed.
