    hi there

just got a new windows 7 desktop pc :D and i connected to it my backup sata from my old pc (windows xp pro sp2)

i used the power cable from the cd/dvd/ drive to power it(hope it's not a prob) and i connected it to a sata port(tried all 3 that where available)
it shows up in device manager under disk drives and in bios and a pop message appeared in low right corner saying it's drivers have been installed succesfully. once inserted and started the pc
but not in my computer or disk management

any ideas making it usable or at least getting my data back? (have files in it don't want it formatted)

    tnks in advance
