    Hi everyone

Wondering what would be a good online virus scanner to use to double check for viruses.

Also would it have to be downloaded onto the computer, one last question would i have to turn of my resident virus protection to use it.

Hope you can understand this as I'm a newbie in more than one way so please don't laugh to hard.

I use housecall as it seems to be the quickest, but have also used these others as well, in the hope that they found stuff that housecall and my own onboard AVG didn't. Personally I have not had a problem running the on-line checks with my AVG running at the same time, so would give it a go If I were you...and yes they do download a program file onto your c drive, but you can always delete it after use if you wish, I have kept all my "Downloaded program files" so the procedure is quicker next time.

    Thanks madchick , Flexifoil :D

Took both of your advice and used housecall and it scanned with no problems and came up clean.

Thanks to anyone else in advance who offers advice. (y)
