I need opinions on pqi and Patriot memory. I've never used either.

    Power series

    and

    Patriot signature

    Thanks

EDIT: Not for anything but business apps.

I have used patriot memory in one build and did not have any problems; never used pqi. I ended up with the patriot memory because the person already had it and it worked fine.

I usually like to use corsair, kingston, or crucial however no problems with the patriot memory.

Both of those use standard 2.5V so you should not have any "issues" booting a new build.

    Thanks,
I need to upgrade some work machines and like you for home I've always built with Kingston, Corsair or Crucial. This is such a good price that for simple work machines I thought it was probably OK.

Anyone else. Reliability is my main concern.

If it is a matter of saving some money, I would go with the Kingston value ram for just $2 more than the Patriot. I have use Patriot before as well and had no problems. I have also wondered if PQI is a quality ram.

Thanks, I'm going to Newegg it and go for either the Kingston (old reliable) or try the pqi for $169.00 for a 2 GB kit.

    Appreciate the responses guys.
