Why all of a sudden are messages from the deleted and junk folders showing up in my Unread Mail folder?

    MS Outlook 2003
    Exchange 2003
    Windows XP SP3

    Thanks

    Hi searchdaddy

Right click on the Unread Mail search folder,
    select: Customize this Search Folder
    click the Browse button

In the Select Folders window, you can verify whether or not the Deleted Items folder and Junk E-mail folder have a check mark beside them. If they do, you can remove the check marks and the Unread Mail search folder should stop looking in those folders for unread messages.

Let us know if that works for you or not.
