I need help with deleting an identity in Outlook Express 6. The identity that I am trying to delete is an old one used previously by my son.
I went into AT&T Administer Email Accounts (AT&T Broadband is our internet server) and deleted this old account. Now when I login to Outlook Express I get a popup screen requesting that I enter the password for this old account. I cannot enter the password because my son does not remember it . . . if I click on cancel I get the following error message:
There was a problem logging onto you mail server . . . Your password was rejected for Account XXXXXX. Server "mail.attbi.com", Protocol POP3; server response, ERR account is inactive.
When in Outlook Express, I have gone into File > Manage Identities and tried to remove his old identity but it will not let you remove it without a password . . . like I said earlier "he doesn't remember his old password".
Any help to resolve this problem will be greatly appreciated . . . these constant error messages are annoying.
