I don't know for sure what I did, but in opening an e-mail somehow I changed the order in which I receive them. Now they are randomly popping up in no order and I have to hunt for them instead of them coming in at the bottom of the last one received. How can I correct this?

Click the column header that you want to sort the messages by.

Open OE, click View on the menu bar, highlight SORTBY, in the menu click the seq prefrence you desire.

This will be your default seq. each time you open OE

Nope, sorry it didn't work. They still keep popping up anywhere and everywhere in between.

I'd need to see a screen shot. I'm still convinced it's a sorting problem which is easily correctable by clicking on the headers.

I'll try that RP , thanks. I don't want to sound dumber than I am but once I've done that, how do I get it to show up here?

Are you clicking on the words as shown in the picture attached to this post? And you see an arrow (as the picture shows on the received column) in the column header that you want to sort by?

I clicked on 'view" and then sort by. I tried all of them, but it still keeps putting my new mail in between all the others that have been read, and in no order . I also did the paint thing and have a pic saved , but don't know how to get it here. I'm sure this is probably some simple thing and I'm so embarrassed already of my my lack of knowledge!

    Hi wheatisgal

Is it sorting your messages by Conversation?
View > Current View > Group Messages by Converstation

Click the headers, not the menu. Click the word Received so the arrow points down as in the picture I posted.
