Hi, I could use some help with password reminder in windows Vista. How do I disable the password change requirement?

thanks for any help.

If you are on a business or corporate computer,it is good practice
to periodically change the password,and it may actually be controlled
by group policy on the domain server.
If it is just a home computer you are having problems with,you can go to
start/control panel/administrative tools and open computer management.
Expand local users and groups.
Click users.
Double click your user name.
Select password never expires.
Click apply/ok.
You may need to be logged in as administrator to do this.

I can follow the steps all the way up to "computer management", I do not have anything like local users or groups?

Are you using Vista Home Basic or Premium ? In XP Home, there is no 'local users and groups' inside computer management.

I am using Vista Basic and that is what I am saying. I could not find any users and locals under computer management

great, that worked great. Now how do I close this tread? or do I have to?
