    O4 - Global Startup: GStartup.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\GMT.exe

Take these out of Startup, it'll speed it up bit.

    GMT - is spyware/adaware - Gator

Get Adaware/SpyBot, update both and use each to do a full scan - fix all problems they find.

    http://spywareinfo.com/downloads.php?cat=sp#det

If you don't use AOL this can go too:
    O4 - Global Startup: America Online 7.0 Tray Icon.lnk = C:\Program Files\America Online 7.0\America Online 7.0a\aoltray.exe

Update your Norton Antivirus and do a full scan.

Or do a virus scan free/online at: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Hi runner, and anyone else reading this......You've been split into your OWN post......do not tag onto other threads, start your own thread, it is too difficult to assist 3 and 4 people in the same thread ;)

PLUS, runner! I've merged your other thread with this one.....it is best to keep them together..............

    Fix that.

And unless you burn a lot of cds, you don't need the Adaptec item starting every time you load windows either, so fix that too.....O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AdaptecDirectCD] "C:\Program Files\Adaptec\Easy CD Creator 5\DirectCD\DirectCD.exe"

And you still have Quicktime loading ;)

You should be able to either fix it in the hijack log, or go to start, run, type msconfig, enter, go to the startup tab and uncheck it there.
