Solved: PC not turning on new ram install

    I have installed new RAM on a vaio & its not turning on now. When i press the power button nothing happens. I have put the old RAM back in & nothing, i have taken the battery out & held the power button down, i have tried it with 1 RAM stick, any ideas ?

    make sure it is seated properly keep it pushed into the slot as you put it down

    hiya,you say you have tried with 1 stick of ram(in all the available slots?)

    I got it sorted thanks, in msconfig - boot - advanced options the maximum memory was ticked. I unticked the box and it sorted it.
