Hi,
My PC below does not hold the date/time & have to reset it after every startup.

A bit new for battery change?








2011 Mobo Asus F1A55-M LE, 2 CORE, CPU AMD A4-3300 APU,
RAM 3Gbts, GRAFICS RADEON HD, Bios Am.Megatrnts 0502 8/18/11
win XP home.

definitely sounds like mobo battery
some last 6 months, some 6 years, it is just pure luck when they go. I have had cases where I changed the battery & 3 months later, it was flat, other times it lasted 5 or 6 years

It should be a 2032 battery available just about anywhere; even walmart. Once you replace the battery, pw ON and enter the bios. Set time, date, boot order and any other custom bios settings you need such as sata mode, any overclocking settings, etc. Save settings and restart.
