Hello everyone, I have 2 questions.....here is my first question....I thought RAM was either DDR or SDRAM yet my computer specifications list my RAM as PC3200 DDR SDRAM could someone explain that to me? Second question......I want to upgrade to 1 GB RAM but with the DDR SDRAM specification I can't find a site that has any matches, can anyone help me figure this out? Any help is greatly appreciated. System specs follow:

    Compaq Presario SR1315CL
    512 MB RAM
    160 GB HDD
    Windows XP Home

    Thanks again for all help.

Thanks for the response I checked out the site and it helped me find product numbers for the RAM and it did explain about the acronyms but it didn't explain how you can have DDR SDRAM I also didn't like the price of the 1 GB RAM........Thank you again......but can anyone explain how RAM can have both designations?

    Thanks for all your help.

I too would nt buy the ram from Tiger Direct. Newegg will give you better prices and will not charge you as much shipping and handling.
    Check this out - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820223020
\\roughly $81 including shipping and handling. If you buy 2 512's it is going to cost you more than $22 more. Plus the shipping and handling.

DDR is an extension of SDRAM technology, so it is in fact DDR SDRAM.
