    I have transcend 16 GB pen drive...
    It has a pecular problem:confused::confused:
    When I Copy any music or folders to it it shows that but as soon as I pull my pen drive out and reinsert it into the computer, all the files are gone!!!!! Note that the Space that files are consuming remains same... means it consumes the disk space but not shows any files copied!!! Also note that the files are not hidden...

    So, please pull me out of this....:confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Are you sure you are "safely removing" the pen drive before actually unplugging it ? This prevents data loss and extends the life of your pen drive.

    @dhvanil2007, did you had a chance to check your pen drive on another PC and see if the files are visible ? Did you try copying some other type of files ?

    Just see if the files are really there and hidden. Go to FOLDER OPTIONS. On the view tab CHECK "show hidden files and folders". UNCHECK "Hide protected operating system files"

    Also try another drive on that computer, too, if possible. But those drives have relatively short lives before they die, especially if used a lot, so it may just be time for a new one. You could also use a small SD card reader and use multiple cards with the same reader. It's a good substitute for thumb drives and easy to file them. I have several bootable SD cards with different data or OS on each.
