I have a light gray graphics on transparent logo created in Photoshop CS2.

When I save to a png file ... Attached is what I see in Irfaniew or Xnview.

M$ P&F viewer or MS Office n Picture manager looks like what I’d expect.
The png can also be inserted in a word doc with color background .. and all looks OK.
I’ve also used CS3 and PSE 5.0 to create the png ... the png results are the same.

The Photoshop psd file >> http://2noyb.home.insightbb.com/Sample.psd

Any ideas why the png version won’t display correctly ???

Works fine for me when saving from CS3 and opening in Irfanview (v4.00).
Why not attach the PNG file itself so we can see?

Btw, it's better practice to create logos in vector format (Illustrator) if you have it of course.

    Hummm ..
Tried two different Puters and several variations... IV3.99 and IV4.0 with the gif fix.
For some reason .. can't attach the png ... goes nowhere .. just a white screen

    Here it is >> http://2noyb.home.insightbb.com/Sample.png
    Firefox sees it OK

Sure would like to know how to use illustrator.

This does not make any sense ...
But it looks like I have something weird in two different computers and two different versions of Irfanview.
    But why Xnview also ??
Got the same (no problem found) reply from the Irfanview forum.

Going to mark this one solved .. though it's not.
as a reverse test here ... I would like to see a copy of the png you created.

I was working on a logo .. White on Transparent ....
And I'm told that my enhanced png's are working great ... needed fatter lines.

    Thanks for the help.

Now it's Solved ... Couldn't see the Mobo for all the components in the way.
Irfanview Options .. Misc 1 ... Show PNG alpha/transparent color.
