I really dont know what msword9 is? Do you mean your using office 07? Is the file saved in .docx format or the standard .doc format? If in doc there is an offly easy little trick i discovered for recovering the thing. If you right click the file, choose open with>choose program. Once done you open the file with notepad, scroll through some lines of jibberish and viola! there is the raw text (its unformatted but hey, you got it back) and you are free to copy the text to a fresh doc, format the text, and then your free to go. Unfortunately, if its docx this will not work.

Just select the text with the mouse then go to edit>copy, in word, go to edit, paste :). You can go ahead and mark this thread solved and just a note, we dont exactly endorse profanity here.
