    thanks in advance guys..trying to fix a friends computer they keep getting numerous popups and sometimes cannot keep a browser open

    View Hidden Files
    Open Windows Explorer. Go to Tools, Folder Options and click on the View tab.
    Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
    Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
    Now click "Apply to all folders", Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Delete these files
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\wsaln.dll
    C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\olnzjmuz.exe


    START – RUN – key in %temp% - Edit – Select all – File – Delete
    Empty the recycle bin
    Boot and post a new log

    thanks so much...but i cant remember how to boot to safe mode? and why in safe mode?

    Safe mode keeps thing from running and lets us delete some files

    At the beginning of the boot process, at the first black screens start tapping F8 select option 3 at the B&W menu
