    Hello. :)

    I am currently working with Oracle SQL Developer and am trying to get it to perform a function, where it prompts the user for a letter, then displays all names in the database that begin with that letter, but so far have had no luck. :(

    Here's what I have so far:

    Code:
    select last_name AS "Last Name", length(last_name)AS "Length"
    from employees
    where last_name like '&last_name' [I](The line I can't get to work)[/I]
    order by last_name;

    Any help/assistance will be greatly appreciated. (y)
