I have installed the google tool bar and it has a pop up blocker. Works good for for me... have had no problem with them in over 3 yrs.

I appreciate all the help, my pop-ups have diminished and all seems to be acting well, besides my not being able to access certain web pages that have nothing to do with restrictions on my computer. I am not sure why this is happening but I appreciate everyones help, especially cybertech's he has been a life saver!! If you have any suggestions on how I can get access to all webpages please let me know.

Did we replace your host file?

Download the HostsXpert 3.7 - Hosts File Manager.
    • Unzip HostsXpert 3.7 - Hosts File Manager to a convenient folder such as C:\HostsXpert 3.7 - Hosts File Manager
    • Run HostsXpert 3.7 - Hosts File Manager from its new home
    • Click "Make Hosts Writable?" in the upper right corner (If available).
    • Click Restore Original Hosts and then click OK.
    • Click the X to exit the program.
    • Note: If you were using a custom Hosts file you will need to replace any of those entries yourself.

Happy to hear! I lived in GA long time ago but don't plan any trips that far south in the near future. :)

It's a good idea to Flush your System Restore after removing malware:

    • On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    • Click Properties.
    • Click the System Restore tab.
    • Check Turn off System Restore.
    • Click Apply, and then click OK.
    • Restart the computer.

To create a new restore point:
    • Start go to All Programs
    • Accessories, System Tools and select System Restore.
    • In the System Restore wizard, select "Create a restore point" and click the Next button.
    • Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup".
    • Click Create and you're done.

Looks like some great information. I'll start reading!!! Maybe I can prevent this from ever happening again here at work or at home. :) Sounds like GA wasn't your favorite place, lol!! It's a different place that's for sure. Thanks again!

Not a bad place but very humid. When I go back to GA now it's all very red! :)

Never really noticed it when I was there as a child. It's that Georgia clay. :p
