    Hello,

I recently installed macromedia flash 9 on my computer. I am having no problems with it at all, EXCEPT that I am now getting pop-ups on my computer saying "Error-cannot find macromedia flash" even when I am NOT logged on the internet. I know I have it because I can view everything I need to, and when I go the the website, it says that I already have it installed. I am just wondering why I am getting these popups when I'm not even on line.
    Could someone help?

    Thanks
    mactwin

    I have:
    hijack this

    and
    CCleaner
    Spybot
    Spyware Blaster
    AntiVir Personal
    Adaware
    Windows Defender

all of which i run regularly

That probably means it is the software of the Flash Player itself creating the popups. It may be best to uninstall it and use something else, or possibly try to uninstall it and re-install again. Getting popup error messages may mean there was a mistake in the installation or download.

I figured it out. It wasn't macromedia at all. It was my screensaver. Everytime it tried to start, the error message came up. I just reinstalled the screensaver and the problem is gone.
