    Is it possible to populate a field in a database with a button? I have a Yes/No field that I want to make 'yes' when the 'save' button on a form is pressed? How do I go about doing that?

    Also, do I have to put a control on my form to accomplish this or can the button populate the field directly?

    Thanks!

    You really need the control on the form, but it need not be visible.
    assuming that it is called "Closed" then use this in the Close Form Button before the Docmd.close
    me.Closed = -1
