Solved: Portable hard disk security

    Hi all

    I have got a portable hard disk which i am wanting to secure.

    i am looking fir software that will secure the files on the hard disk and will work on different computers (XP and Vista) preferably the software will be free as money is tight at the min.

    any recommendations?

    if you don't like truecrypt, you can try axcrypt. unlike truecrypt it encrypts only files

    I gave EncryptOnClick a try first as I'm familiar with 2Brightsparks software.
    Looks good to me.
    I notice it will run from a USB drive.
    That's a convenience if moving the file between computers that don't have EOC installed..
    I saw that it is supported on a USB drive under XP and above, but I gave it a try under Win2k sp4 and it seemed to function properly. I did a quick search and nothing popped up that was problematic.
    Are there any known issues when used from a USB drive and win2k?
