I was recently hammered by a virus. McAfee told me that they would charge $89 to fix the problem even though I was already a customer of thiers. Well, they tried to clean the system and failed. I tried a few things and rolled back the system to about amonth ago and downloaded a copy of AVAST's virus software. It cleaned the system and everything "seemed" to be alright. Then I tried to print something and got the message "The Print Spooler Service is not Running". So I went to find the service and start it up, but there is not print service on the list. Either the virus distroyed it or the Guy from India with AcAfee blew it up trying to clean the system. Is there a way to get this service and load it to my PC. I am running Windows XP Pro. Thanks in advance for the help.
Elvandil - THANK YOU! That worked great. I did as you said and rebooted - the printer was right where I left it. I really appreciate the suggestions. Also - sorry about the duplicate entry - newbie error. It won't happen again.... Rob
