Solved: Printer..Software issue???

    My printer quit during an operation. All the sudden the printer is off line. I checked all cords and it seems up and ready but when i print i get the off line warning. It a canon P3500.
    Gateway/Emach athelon(single core 64) with 1 gig ram.
    Help?

    Hey.....

    1. Unplug and replug cable from both printer and computer(or router) ends.

    2. Plug into a different usb port... in fact, switch connection with a working peripheral on another usb port-- to eliminate a damaged usb port as the cause.

    3. Ditto with another printer(or usb) cable.

    ALl done. I went into control panel and reinstalled printer and selected the proper primary. Still doesnt recognize the printer. AGain it was between jobs when it quit.
    My wife is going to kill me here.

    You might need a new cable.

    Thanks for the effort folks. I went and re-installed the printer from the disc and all is well.
