Solved: Problem accessing Internet

Hi Folks,

This is my first time on the forum so im sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have a couple of issues with my computer that I need help with if possible.

1) I tried installing .Net Framework 1.1 on my computer but it crashed during installation. I have since tried running set up again but I get an unable to complete installation error.

2) I get an error message called jqsnotify.exe I am not sure what this is.

3) When I try to log onto the internet via 3 mobile broadband I get an error message saying unable to open c:/programfiles/3 (cant remember the rest) You do not have permission to access.

There are no passwords on the computer and I have full access rights.

If anyone can help me with these problems it would be greatly appreciated. I dont mind doing a complete reinstall if these problems will be quite difficult to fix.

Hi jayfcf... and Welcome to TSG..

Two possible alternatives.

First alternative...If your System restore is on (it's on by default), try to run a restore point prior to when you attempted the installation. This is the most desirable option.

Second alternative... On bootup, repeatedly tap the F8 key. When you get to a black screen with various alternatives available, using the arrow keys, highlight "last known good configuration", then hit "Enter".
