Is there anyone out there smarter than the Linksys tech tupport??? I have an EtherFast 10/100 LAN Car, LNE100Tx ver.5.1 software for it. It works fine for my DSL hookup and with my networking. The card appears to be working fine. But it causes my computer shutdown process to fail. The screen just goes blank without really turning off my computer. When I disable the device (see above), the computer shuts down properly. I'm running on Windows ME.
Thanks for the help.

Hi and welcome.

As an idea (or test) --- start button, run, then type msconfig and hit ok......uncheck the box for autoexec.bat and config.sys, then restart.....test your internet connection, then try to shutdown.

Thanks. I gave up and bought a new one for $20 and ended the problem. Something must have been wrong with that card.
