Due to the settings on my antivirus, I have accidently deleted process.exe when it was detected as a 'risk tool', is there any way of getting this back without doing a system restore or reformat?

It is probably the file that belongs to the Smitfraudfix. Had you used that tool in one of your cleanups?

I had used smitfraudfix but I accidently deleted the main one in the windows folder too.
I had smitfraudfix on my desktop (from a while ago) and was going to delete it but decided to scan with it first, it wouldnt let me as it said "process.exe file missing..." so I searched for it in "All files and folders" but, forgot to disable antivirus first and when search found process.exe in windows folder my AV zapped it as a "risk tool".

I've read that it's not 'essential' so hopefully I can do without it.

    Cheers for reply

It's not needed and not a problem that it was deleted. You should remove the Smitfraudfix if you still have it.
