I bought PaintShopPro 8 way back when it came out and installed it and had been using it forever. Something had changed with it for the past 2 months like the keyboard functions (delete, ctrl d deselect, etc) so I restored it to it's original state and everything was working perfectly last night! But today it's gone! When I click on the psp8 icon, a windows installer come up for me to reinstall it. My problem is my sis has my psp disc so I want to know is there a way to get it to work without the disc. I went to the psp8 folder and it seems everything is there. I just don't get it.

If you look in the program files you should find a “Paint Shop Pro 8.exe” file listed as Type: Application. Try to open the program directly from there. If it still says it requires a reinstall the program is probably toast.

If it opens from the exe file right click on it, Send to > Desktop. You will have a new link that should work.
