Quicken 98 locks up when I open the program.
I never had problems before. I tried uninstalling
Quicken and reinstalling it. I found that member Joel had this problem 04-06-2000 I wonder if he ever found a solution. I tried the suggestions that were given to him to no avail.

Bob,

Since you did not mention any error messages I will assume it just locks up your computer when you start the Quicken program.
I would try using MSConfig to do a clean boot.
Start, Run, MSConfig and then enable Selective Startup and disable all the checkboxes below.
If the program works you can use MSConfig to restore the startup items until you find the conflict.

If it still locks up we will need more details.

Regards,
Roger

Roger,

I am running windows 95. I do not have MSConfig program. You were right in assuming that my computer locks up as soon as I open Quicken. All other programs work fine with no problems. Thanks for the reply.

:) Eddie,

I checked Intuit's support site and found the answer to my problem. Turning off Quicken's
QCards Options solved the lock-up problems. Thank you very much.
