Solved: RE: Invalid display settings

    Hi Guys,

    gotta a machine with a strabge problem its XP media centre with sp2. Have done some work on it aded some programs etc then did a re-boot the screen cam back wit the message Invalid display settings, then, The current selected graphics display driver can not be used. It was written for a previous version of windows and is no longer compatible with this version. So the maCHINE STARTES USING vga . Did a system restore to before and the same. But go into safe mode and all the bits a there to change settings ets but not on normal...............any ideas?????

    Weird.
    But have you gone into Safemode.
    Removed the Video card and rebooted and reinstalled the Video again?

    not removed card but been into safe and its fine

    Actually I meant removed driver in safe and then rebooted and had the latest driver for the card and reinstalled the driver.
